MobileHomeHaul is a referral and information service for mobile and manufactured home transport and setup. We are not a motor carrier, and we do not perform transport or installation ourselves; moves are performed by independent licensed professionals. Costs, permit rules, escort requirements, and installation standards vary by state, route, and home, so the figures on this site are planning ranges, not quotes, and only a written quote from the professional performing your move is binding. Nothing on this site is legal, engineering, or financial advice. Confirm transport rules with the state departments of transportation on your route and installation rules with your local building authority.

What we are, and what we are not

MobileHomeHaul is a referral and information service. We publish guides and tools, and we connect homeowners with vetted, independent transport and setup professionals as coverage opens. We are not a motor carrier, we do not own trucks, and we do not perform transport or installation ourselves. Your service agreement is always with the professional performing the work, and that professional, not us, is responsible for the work itself.

Planning ranges are not quotes

Every dollar figure on this site, including the outputs of our cost estimator and setup guide, is a planning range assembled from typical published industry figures. Real moves vary with width, route, condition, season, soil, and local rules, and markets can sit outside any published range. The only number that binds anyone is a written quote from the professional performing your move. If a figure here and a written quote ever disagree, the written quote is the real one.

Rules vary by state and county

Oversize permit fees, escort thresholds, and travel windows are set by each state, and installation and inspection requirements are set by federal standards plus your state and local building authority. Where our content describes these rules, we describe what is typical and say so. Your state DOT permit office, your state manufactured housing program, and your local building department hold the controlling answers for your move.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is legal, engineering, structural, tax, or financial advice. Whether a specific home can be moved safely is a judgment for qualified professionals who have seen the home; whether it can be placed at a specific site is a decision your local authorities make. For questions about titles, liens, or contracts, talk to a professional licensed in your state.

Our commitments, stated plainly

We vet network professionals for active USDOT registration and insurance at onboarding, we do not sell your details to lead brokers, and we tell you honestly when we cannot cover a route. Those are standing commitments about how we operate, stated plainly because we are a new service without years of history to point to yet. What we will never do is dress up that newness with invented reviews or credentials; see our editorial standards for the full honesty policy.
